This is Patty Pat
Watch to see how she develops
|
Newborn yorkie Puppies has sense of touch and taste only. Their eyes and ears are closed. They are black with the outline of gold on face and legs. They are born with tails and dewclaws on front legs but those are removed.

|
Three week old yorkie. They have really progressed a lot from two weeks. Now they are wobbling around on their legs and getting a little ways away from Mom. Eyes will be focusing much better but still have a ways to go. Teeth may be starting to come in.

|
Five week old yorkie
|
|
six week old yorkie Hair is growing out and you can see the first start of the color change at her eyes.
|
|
Oh boy, 8 weeks old. This is the time that I usually try to wean the puppies from Mom. Mom is grateful most of the time. You will see that there is more coloring on the face. It appears gray or silver but this will change color as she gets older. There could be a battle between the ears trying to stand and the teeth. If the ears appear to be losing I will tape them with masking tape to give them an edge until they can stand on their own.

Patty Pat at 16 weeks of age
Ears are up and the coloring process is continuing.
This coloring will go on until she is around a year old. Starts at the face and ends with the body. So I am anxious to see what color she will end up being.

Patty Pat at 24 weeks of age
Boy has she colored a lot in her face!! But she isn't through yet. She will continue until all the black and silver are gone from her face. I don't see much coloring on her body yet but that is the last to color.

Patty Pat at 8 months of age
She is probably going to be the steel blue on her body. Her face not sure yet. She has lost almost all the black. Only a small amount on the tips. Will be anxious to see if she turned gold like her grandmother or tan like her dad.
Well Patty Pat is nearly a year old. Only a couple weeks left.
Her weight is 3 pounds and 12 ounces.

Patty Pat has turned out to be a beautiful yorkie but I am prejudice of course.
Two years of age. Full grown and has finished coloring.
